*gossip gossip gossip* ;-) Lucy, I was thinking more of the implicational damage rather than trouble caused by specific gossip. By referring to "the way she acted backstage and him personally", however true the statement may be, could make other people defensive and mistrustful if they think that there is a "mole". In the end, it's up to you what you say - it's an open forum. I was just giving my advice on the basis that a happy company is a united company. All the best, Chris |

Have I disclosed anything specific? I appreciate the advice but I haven't let out anything that would be at all damaging. I know how gossip works and I'm not a gossiper. All the best

I would hasten to add that backstage gossip can rarely be substantiated and is often caused by internal jealousy or disagreement. Personally I wouldn't like to comment on cast disharmony since it is destructive and disrespectful to those who are still in the show. You know whatever you know Lucy, but I wouldn't bring it into a public discussion since the implications of doing so could be far reaching and acrimonious. (Just a bit of friendly advice, not meant as a dig or anything. :-) ) All the best, Chris

I belive the subject has already been covered and I have already expressed my views if you would care to read up on them! How can you comment when you know nothing of what has happened between the two of them and the way she acted backstage and to him personally. I only know half from the lips of those closest to it (the cast and Jon) and I hold him in highest respect for acting with such restraint. How can you comment when you clearly don't have a clue what's going on? And as for Martine stealing the show...I suggest you check out Joanna Riding and stop speaking such crap! I'm fed up of thougtless statements on this site which have no relevance and are not based on truth. Get the facts! Sorry I lost my temper but I had to say it Lucy

Well I know who I would rather work alongside. Furthermore, I would hazard a guess that Jonathan Pryce is more likely to gain furtehr employment within theatre as a result of his stint in "My Fair Lady". All the best, Chris

| After watching the Laurence Olivier Awards the other night I was shocked to see Johnathan Pryce acting like a child when the outstanding Martine Mc Cutcheon won her award for best actress in a musical.Mr Pryce chose not to applaude and instead he look in the opposite direction in disgrace. It was quite clear Mr Pryce had no respect for Ms Mc Cutcheon which is a shame as she was magnificent in her role as Eliza Dolittle.Jealousy seems to be the main cause for the falling out between the two stars as Martine stole the show every night with her breathtaking performances.Word of advice to Mr Pryce grow up and give cedit where its due!!
