I hope jonathan does take it to broadway - i was just looking for a reason to make a trip over there!! last time i saw JP he was mighty fit :-) so no need for anyone to worry about his health if he decides to go to broadway!!! and as for grandad .. well my grandfather never looked that good !!! last i heard though he was taking a long deserved rest and had no real plans for the future. I think he thought MFL was hard going compared to miss saigon etc. so would he be willing to do a stint on broadway?? hope so anyway !! km :-D |

| If grumpy, proud 80 yr olds are your thing! Who am I to judge?

| Too old? Never! Rex Harrison was in his 80's when he did his Broadway revival of the show. Compared with that, Mr. Pryce is a mere boy.

| Damn it! I'll be so jealous if he does. There is no way I can get to america to see it! No offence to old Jon boy but isn't he a bit, well...old? I mean he keeps fit and everything but to work 8 times a week on broadway could just about kill him! (so sorry Jon by the way if you're reading I'm so sure you have lots of...stamina! )

| I heard that Jonathan Pryce was taking a year of to make a couple of films and then next year he will take the role of Higgins to Broadway- this could be pure speculation of course!

I think they'll take it to Broadway first, as they've done with Oklahoma. I don't know if he's going to put a priority on bringing Witches of Eastwick over first, or if he'll try to see if bring My Fair Lady over sooner will alleviate some of the problems caused by the delay in Oklahoma. I would hope that the US could get My Fair Lady in 2004 with a tour in 2005, but at the moment, it's all wishful thinking. There hasn't been any discussion of a transfer that I've heard.

| Lucy, when you post a reply, just click on the "emoticons are enabled" line to the left of the box. (It should be in red). Another window will open showing a list of possible smileys. Just click on the one you want. The correct smiley will appear when you hit "submit"

Just long enough to take a PhD then! If you're desperate to see it James I should go to London again and not pin your hopes on a tour! P.S. call me naive but how do you do the smiley face thing?

Miss Saigon isn't that old! 1989 But not everything waits that long -- wasn't Manchester back in 1992 the first stop of the UK tour for Les Mis? So figure you've got between six and twelve years

| Steady on! Not for a few years yet!!!! Miss Saigon didn't start it's tour till last year and it opened in 1986 (or there abouts I believe)! You'll have to wait a few years yet!
