Joanna trained at The Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. Her most recent theatre credits are: Jane Smart in The Witches of Eastwick (Theatre Royal, Drury Lane and Prince of Wales) for which she was nominated for an Olivier Award, Bertrande in the UK tour of Martin Guerre and Sarah Stone in No Way to Treat a Lady (Arts Theatre). Her work for the Royal National Theatre includes: Julie Jordan in Carousel, for which she won an Olivier Award for Best Actress in a Musical, Sarah Brown in Guys and Dolls, for which she was nominated for Olivier Award, Anne Egerman in A Little Night Music and the tour of Oh What a Lovely War. Other London credits include: recreating her role as Julie in Carousel (Shaftsbury Theatre), Sally in Me and My Girl (Adelphi Theatre), Suzie Trevor in Lady Be Good (Regent's Park Open Air Theatre), Sybil Vane in The Portrait of Dorian Gray (Lyric Hammersmith), and Hey, Mr Producer! (Lyceum). Joanna has also worked in Repertory Theatres around the UK including; Liverpool, Blackpool, Worcester, and Chichester where her season included: Anne Page in The Merry Wives of Windsor, Rosie in My Mother Said I Never Should and Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz. Joanna's TV credits are: The Brian Conley Show, Sean's Show, Casualty, Jeeves and Wooster, West Two, Strike Command and Wing and a Prayer.
