After training at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, Patsy began her career at the Saville Theatre in Sandy Wilson's Valmouth. Other West End credits include Semi-detached with Laurence Olivier and directed by Tony Richardson (with whom she was to work often), Shut Your Eyes and Think of England, with Donald Sinden, The Seagull directed by Lindsay Anderson and When We Are Married for Ronald Eyre.
Previous theatre credits include Jack's mother in Stephen Sondheim's Into the Woods at the Phoenix Theatre, the Duchess in Mike Ockrent's production of Me and My Girl and a long run in Sam Mendes' production of Oliver! at The London Palladium. Seasons at The Royal National Theatre included The March on Russia, again for Lindsay Anderson, and The Pied Piper and The Wind in the Willows directed by Nick Hytner.
She has previously enjoyed appearing in numerous television series, including Bless This House with Sid James and Halleluja with Thora Hird. Patsy particularly enjoyed working with Billy Connolly on Supergran. Other television credits include Bottom, The Little Princess, The History of Mr Polly, My Son My Son, and The Alchemist in which she played Dol Common, directed by Peter Wood.
Recent television credits include The Cazalet Chronicles, The Canterbury Tales, The Cater Street Hangman, Get Well Soon, and Vanity Fair for the BBC.
Patsy thoroughly enjoyed making a total of nine films with the Carry On Team, all directed by Gerald Thomas. Other film credits include Little Lord Fauntleroy for Jack Gold, Tess for Roman Polanski and Tom Jones, Joseph Andrews and A Kind of Loving for Tony Richardson.
Patsy is delighted to be returning to the cast of My Fair Lady.
