Malcolm Sinclair trained at Hull University and Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. His numerous theatre work includes seasons at Bristol, Birmingham, Sheffield, Leicester, York and Nottingham. London appearances include Little Lies (Wyndhams), Anatole (Gate), The London Cuckolds, Facades and Splendids (Hammersmith), Dark River and The Case of Rebellious Susan (Orange Tree). For the National Theatre: The Misanthrope, the first production of Racing Demon as bishop Kingston and Clarence in Richard III. More recently he has played Serebrianka in Uncle Vanya for the RSC at the Young Vic, Mazzini in Heartbreak House at the Almeida, Jeeves at Scarborough and in the West End, Cressida at the Albery Theatre for the Almeida and House/Garden, Alan Ayckbourn's latest play at the National Theatre for which he won the Clarence Derwent Award. Most recently Malcolm played Major Miles Flack in the Donmar Warehouse's production of Privates on Parade. His television credits include Kavanagh QC, Midsomer Murders, The Big Batallions, Scarlet and Black, The Writing on the Wall and four series of Pie in the Sky. He has been seen on our screens recently in Anna Karenina, Murder Rooms and Anybody's Nightmare.
Film work has included The Young Poisoner's Handbook, God on the Rocks and Keep the Aspidistra Flying.
